For hosts selling more than one room type

Three room types. One link. No spreadsheet.

Price shared, private and suite rooms each with their own spots and plan. Roommates fill a shared room with a link. You see who paid for which room, the day they pay.

Free to use. Guests pay one 6% fee on top, so you keep your full price.

What this page is for

Retreat hosts sell rooms, not seats. On SquadTrip each room type is its own package with its own price, number of spots, deposit and plan. Guests pick a room at checkout, roommates share a room with a link, and your dashboard shows which room each guest booked and what they've paid.

The spreadsheet starts clean. Then someone upgrades.

A shared guest moves to a private. Two roommates pay different amounts on different days. A Venmo note just says "retreat". By month three you can't tell whether the suite is paid for or promised twice.

  • The room sheet is on version three

Each room type is a package. Guests pick it; the sheet writes itself.

  • Payments arrive with no name on them

Every payment is logged to the guest and the room.

  • Upgrades get promised over text

Move a guest between rooms from the Rooms tab. Balances follow them.

  • Roommates get sorted in a group poll

Roommates join a room with a link, and each pays their own share.

How it works

How it works

  1. 1

Add a package per room type.

Shared, private, suite, and an early-bird version of any of them. Each gets its price, number of spots and what's included.

  2. 2

    Set the plan per package.

A suite can carry a bigger deposit than a shared bed. Add-ons like a massage or an extra night sit beside the rooms.

  3. 3

    Share one link.

Guests pick their room. Shared rooms fill through a room link roommates send each other.

Everything a room ladder needs

  • Packages with their own spots

Shared 5 left · Private 1 left · Suite 1 left. "Sold out" shows on the page when a tier fills.

  • Roommates pay their own share

A guest books a bed and sends the room link. Their roommate books the other bed and pays for it.

  • Move guests between rooms

Drag a guest to another room on the Rooms tab. Their balance and plan follow them.

  • Waitlist per tier

When a room type fills, late guests join the waitlist for the room they want.

What retreat guests actually buy.

Across paid retreat trips abroad on SquadTrip, guests bought shared rooms 39% of the time, private 36%, premium or suite 28%, and early-bird tiers 14%. More than one in four retreats price by room type. A three-tier ladder sells; a single price leaves private-room money on the table.

Worked example: a 16-guest Sayulita retreat: 8 shared at $1,795, 4 private at $2,695, 2 suites at $3,250, and 2 early-bird shared spots at $1,595 that sell the first week and make the page look alive. That's $34,830 if it fills. Each guest's deposit and plan match their tier: $500 on shared, $700 on private and suite.

Room-tier questions, answered

How do I charge different prices for shared and private rooms?

Create a package for each room type with its own price and spots. Guests choose at checkout.

Can each room type have a different deposit or payment plan?

Yes. Deposit, number of payments and dates are set per package.

How do roommates share a room?

Each shared room has a link. A guest books a bed, sends the link, and the roommate books the other bed and pays their own share.

Can I move a guest to a different room after they book?

Yes, from the Rooms tab. Their balance and plan move with them.

What happens when a room type sells out?

It shows Sold out on the page and guests can join a waitlist for that tier.

How do I give the venue a rooming list?

Export the Rooms tab. It lists each room, its guests and their forms.

What does it cost?

Nothing to use. Guests pay one 6% fee on top of your price. On a $2,695 private room a guest pays $2,857 and you receive $2,695.
