What SquadTrip does for carnival trips
SquadTrip is a booking and payment page for carnival group trips. Organizers use it to sell packages for travelers who want to play mas, pairing a villa or hotel room with a costume from a mas band, add fetes, J'ouvert and transfers, and take a deposit with automatic monthly payments that finish before the band's deadline.
Travelers book and pay on their phone. The organizer sees who has paid for which package and add-on on one dashboard, and the money goes straight to their own Stripe account. SquadTrip is free to use; travelers pay a 6% fee on top of the price.
Carnival trips outgrow the group chat
Thirty travelers, three packages, five fetes and one band deadline.
Payment screenshots all over the group chat
One link logs every payment to the traveler who made it.
The band wants its money before travelers have paid you
Plans end on your date, before the band's deadline.
A roommate drops out and the villa room is half paid
Each roommate pays their own spot; the room link fills the bed.
Nobody's sure who bought which fete
Add-ons sit on each booking, so the fete list builds itself.
How it works
From your flyer to a paid-up villa in three steps
- 1
Upload your flyer
Upload your carnival flyer or PDF, or paste your website link. The AI builds the trip page with packages, prices, a payment plan and the itinerary. Nothing goes live until you publish.
- 2
Set packages, add-ons and the plan
Pair rooms with costume sections, add fetes and J'ouvert, then pick the deposit and the date of the last payment, before your band and villa deadlines.
- 3
Share one link
Post it in your bio, your broadcast list and your group chat. Travelers pay on schedule, and you track every booking on one dashboard.

SquadTrip vs payment apps vs ticketing sites
How carnival organizers usually sell, side by side.
| What you need | SquadTrip | Cash App, Zelle + a spreadsheet | Ticketing sites (e.g. Eventbrite) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deposit, then a payment plan | Charged automatically on your dates | Each traveler sends each payment by hand | One price, paid once; plans mean selling each payment as a separate ticket |
| Villa rooms and roommates | Rooms with spots; each roommate pays their share | A list in your notes or a sheet | Ticket types, not rooms |
| Fetes, J'ouvert and transfers | Add-ons on each traveler's booking | Separate payments to track | Add-ons, paid upfront |
| Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm | Yes, for US travelers | No | Varies by tool |
| Who's paid, at a glance | Live dashboard per traveler and package | A spreadsheet you keep up to date | Orders list, not balances |
| When you get the money | Daily or weekly payouts to your Stripe | Right away, but nothing is tracked | Eventbrite pays first-time hosts after the event |
| Cost to you | Free to use; travelers pay 6% on top | Free, plus your evenings | Per-ticket fees, often passed to buyers |

What organizers ask before they move their carnival trip off Cash App and spreadsheets.
What's the best way to collect payments for a carnival trip?
Use one booking link where each traveler picks a package, pays a deposit and goes on an automatic payment plan. SquadTrip charges every installment on the dates you set, sends reminders and receipts, and shows who has paid for what, so you stop matching Cash App and Zelle screenshots to names in a spreadsheet.
Can travelers pay for carnival packages in installments?
Yes. You set the deposit and the installment dates once, and each traveler's card is charged automatically on those dates, with no credit check. US travelers can also choose Klarna, Afterpay or Affirm at checkout; a 4% fee is added to their total and you are paid in full.
How do I make sure costume balances are paid before the band's deadline?
Set your last installment date before the band's costume deadline. Every traveler's plan ends on that date, so the money is in your Stripe account before you owe the band. Leave a few days of buffer: a failed payment retries on its own and asks the traveler for a new card.
Can roommates share a villa room and each pay their own share?
Yes. Set up each villa room with its number of spots, and travelers book a spot and pay for their own share. After booking they get a room link to invite a friend into an open spot. You can move travelers between rooms, or add one yourself, from the Rooms tab.
Can I sell fete tickets, J'ouvert and transfers separately from the package?
Yes. Add each one as an add-on with its own price, such as a J'ouvert package, a fete pass or an airport transfer. Travelers pick the add-ons they want at checkout, each one is added to their total, and you see who bought what on your dashboard.
Can I sell a fete-only or costume-only package with no accommodation?
Yes. Packages are yours to define, so one trip can sell a villa room with a costume, a costume only, or a fete weekend with no room. Each package has its own price and spots, and travelers choose the one they want on the same trip page.
What happens if a traveler misses a payment?
The payment retries automatically and the traveler is asked to update their card. They also get reminders before each payment, and you get a failed-payment alert. Your dashboard shows who is paid, who is on a plan and who is behind, and travelers can pay early or change their card from their own trip page.
Can two organizers or a mas band section co-host one trip?
Yes. Add your co-host as a team member so you both manage bookings, and give each co-host, promoter or section leader their own referral link to see whose audience booked. Payments go to one Stripe account, so agree how you'll split payouts before you launch. How referral tracking works.
Can I price Notting Hill or European carnival trips in pounds or euros?
Yes. Set your account's currency to US dollars, British pounds or euros, and your trip page, checkout and payment plan use it. Brazilian reais aren't offered, so Rio trips are priced in dollars or euros. Klarna, Afterpay and Affirm are for US travelers.
What does SquadTrip cost for a carnival trip?
SquadTrip is free to use, with no monthly fee. Travelers pay one 6% fee on top of your price, card fees included, so on an $1,850 package they pay $1,961 and you keep $1,850. Premium ($29 a month) is optional and adds custom brand colors, scheduled emails, unlimited text messages and priority support. See pricing.
How fast do I get paid?
Payments go straight to your own Stripe account and on to your bank, with daily or weekly payouts, so deposits are there to pay your villa and band. SquadTrip never holds your money until after the trip. Stripe usually takes 7 to 14 days to release your first payout.
How do refunds work if a traveler drops out?
You write your own refund policy for the trip page. To refund, issue a full or partial refund from the traveler's page in your dashboard; a full refund also cancels the booking and stops future payments. The traveler gets back what they paid, including the 6% fee, and Stripe keeps its own card fee.
